KSU ASUU STRIKE: OPEN LETTER TO THE VICE CHANCELLOR (VC)

Dear VC,
I want to begin by offering condolences to a great hero of the last ASUU’s struggle Festus Iyayi. Your legacy lives on! Last year the nation’s public universities was closed for about 6 months, you know the story sir so I wouldn’t want to bore you with the epistles. At last, the FG yielded to the cries of ASUU. Funds were disbursed which Kogi state university got her own fair share. Sir, facts has it that no academic lecturer got a dime out of this fund. In terms of infrastructure, no new buildings except the two new hostel blocks (one beside inikpi and the other one beside dangana hall) from my findings these new hostells was sponsored by the state government. Beddings are lacking in these hostel blocks. Do something sir!

Sir, why are you hoarding the allowances of our lecturers? Tomorrow is another working day, with no hopes of the strike coming to an end soon. Forgive my manners sir, I am just pissed off because with the way things are going my five years course of study will turn into six years if care is not taking.

Weeks ago, our brothers and sisters who finished their diploma programs were denied admission into degree programs for no reason and your administration has failed to explain to the populace why this is so. To this, sir, we demand an answer.

Your Student
Popo Lee
